Dr. Eugène Bolongo (b. January 12, 1951) is the current Zairian ambassador to the People's Democratic Social Republic of Ariddia. He has served in that capacity since January 26, 2007. Prior to that, he served as Deputy Chief of Mission at the Zairian embassy in Angola (1999-2002), Chargé d'affaires at the Zairian embassy in France (2003), and Governor of Shaba Region. Prior to his pursuing a career as a diplomat, he taught International Relations at the University of Kinshasa. Dr. Bolongo has two children, both grown up, one a doctor and the other a tax collector. He enjoys taxidermy, sportsmanship, reading, and chess as his hobbies.
