The euro (€; EUR) is the currency of some nations in the Europe region, notably in the European Union. It is also the single currency of the Knootian Federation who administers it through the Knootian Central Bank in Utrecht.
Countries using the Euro
At present the states officially using the euro are
- The Constitutional Monarchy of Neutravia
- The Knootian Federation, including
- The Theocracy of Sarrach
- The Great al-Andalus
- The Federal Republic of Belarum
Euro exchange rate
The Euro in the Knootian Federation is free float, and is worth about twice as much as the dollar. Generally, it remains within a bandwith of $1.96 - $2.05 though this is not an official policy.
Characteristics
A frequently used code for the euro is EUR. A special euro currency sign (€) was also designed. It is inspired by the Greek letter epsilon (ε), as well as being a stylised version of the letter "E".
The Menelmacari Credit also uses the euro sign in its name. (M€)
