Eutopia is the capital and largest city within Laurasia. Formerly known as Moscow, the occupied area was the previous federative capital of the Soviet Union; but after the Soviet Reformation, it was reorganized as one of the largest metropolitan sectors in the known world. Eutopia currently boasts a massive population of 602 million (including metropolitan areas).

History

Eutopia (as stated above) was previously known as Moscow before the Soviet Reformation. Since (and evidence now shows - long before) the Soviet Reformation, the area now titled Eutopia has served as the capital of the Totalitarian Oligarchy of Laurasia, center of The Party, home of Father, and apex of the new political movement known as oligarchical collectivism.

The massive city has served its purpose since its birth. Having been the home of Red Square during the Soviet era; and now housing the Oligarchical Palace, the city seems to be a center for politics and thought.

Besides being a massively historically important city, Eutopia also boasts a massive amount of political influence over other nations. The global city serves as a center for politics within Laurasia and as the guiding light for Olicol nations. Thus, Eutopia seems to constantly under international scrutiny.

Eutopia (since her conception as Moscow) has had a constantly growing population. After the Soviet Reformation, it became known that the colossal megalopolis was home to over 600 million individuals. This has forced the former Russian city to expand, terraform, and reshape its former self into a modern, residential and industrial powerhouse.

After the Soviet Reformation, both Laurasians and international critics began calling Eutopia “The City of Agonizing Pleasure”. This is a play on the policy of dualthink that is held within Laurasia (having two contradicting thoughts in the mind, and believing both). Some state that Eutopia was dubbed this due to the so-called agony felt by its populace, yet the pleasure the Laurasian government states it populace endures.

Life in Eutopia

Life in Eutopia ranges from wonderful to horrible. Inner Party officials live a life of grandure and luxury, while Outer Party members and Plebeians suffer under the Laurasian jackboot.

Housing for the elite is usually full of luxuries and fine products, is much larger than other homes, and has access to amenities that other members of society could only dream of. The remaining sectors of society either live in state owned apartments or in cheaply constructed home made before the Soviet Reformation.

There and back

By land

Eutopia is accessible by both motorcade and rail due to its well made connections with other countries. However, due to its general centralized location within Laurasia, it is the least used mode of transportation for international travelers. Most prefer to go by air or by sea due to the easy accessibility.

Yet, once within the city, Eutopia has one of the largest mass-transit sectors in the world. Boasting thousands of bus stations and monorail stations around the city, it is relatively easy to get around the enormous metropolis. Other land vehicles (cars, trucks, motorbikes, etc.) are also used, but almost exclusively for diplomats and Inner Party officials.

By sea

Traveling by sea to Eutopia is slightly more popular than by land. Yet, sea access is usually restricted to export, import, and diplomatic vessels. International travel to Eutopia via sea is also restricted further due to a single river - Eutopia River (formerly the Moskva River) - running through the city.

Once within Eutopia, one has even less access around the city by sea. Inner Party officials are the only caste of society able to own sea vessels. For this purpose, sea travel within Eutopia is further restricted to almost zero citizen level travel.

By air

Eutopia boasts one of the largest airports in the world: Eutopia International Airport. This is one of the main reasons travel from abroad to Eutopia is usually by air. Along with EIA is the Laurasian Diplomacy International Airport which is mostly used for smaller craft and diplomatic missions.

Visitors are encouraged while abroad to travel to EIA as a stopping point to their final destination due to the fine amenities available within the complex. Boasting terminals capable of traveling to virtually any country on earth, EIA has been acclaimed to be the best international airports ine existence.

For lodging

Eutopia’s international sector is - by far - one of the best places to stay while in Eutopia. Hundreds of hotels and temporary apartment buildings line the streets and are available to anyone willing to pay the upscale prices for a night or two. For this purpose, usually diplomats, business officials, and the independently wealthy are usually found within this area.

For eating

The best place to stop for food in Eutopia is the central sector (downtown). Within downtown Eutopia are hundreds of upper-class restaurants, cafes, and eateries ranging from outlandishly expensive to affordable.

Other places to eat are within Eutopia, but are usually only eaten at by Laurasian citizens; yet, determined tourists are capable of finding the small government owned restaurants filled with local delicacies and treats.

For looking

The government sector (central downtown) is filled with statues of Father, government complexes (most notably the Oligarchical Palace), and other fine works of architecture. For this purpose, visitors are often encouraged to travel to the non-restricted areas of the government sector to see the massive skyscrapers and other sights.
