The FU-29K, also known as the "Smart FUK" was the first unmanned aircraft designed by Phoenix Dynamix. It is inspired by the Grumman X-29. The FU-29K Scorpion, Lovingly referred to as the "Smart FUK" by its operators, is a remotely piloted fully-featured UCAV that has been designed for the air-to-air role. Based on the Grumman X-29, it is extremely maneuverable and uses many advanced systems including all-moving canards,a four way thrust vectoring cowling mounted on the afterburner, wing warping "flapilerons" (uses wing-twisting instead of ailerons)and a vortex air-flow control system in the nose allowing more controllable supersonic turns and up to a 45 degree angle of attack. Also the airframe has been hardened to allow up to 15G turns and ACM(Aerial Combat Maneuvers). Since there is no pilot onboard, turns over 9G, the current human limit, are possible giving this aircraft the distinct advantage over any human piloted aircraft. The aircraft also has in-flight re-fuel capability. The FU-29K is piloted by an operator in a small flight simulator with wrap-around video screen, a HUD and 4 Head-Down displays. Simple flight and weapons controls along with hydraulic lifts in the seat to allow intuitive pilot response. The control units can be placed anywhere with satellites linkage ,they can be operated from almost anywhere in the world.

FU-29N

Navalized variant outfitted for carrier operations. Slightly heavier empty weight and the ability to carry sea-skimming anti-ship missiles separate this version from the original.

The F-29X Scorpion II

The F-29X is a bigger, manned version of the FU-29K. Aside from being bigger, the largest difference is the inclusion of 2 engines feeding a single vectored exhaust port. It also carries a slightly smaller armament, only 10 missiles and 1 25mm gun. Despite other minor cosmetic changes, the F-29X incorporates the same general design and construction throughout.
