The Fedala Imperials are the newest additions to the first division football league of the Second Empire of the Golden Throne. The team was historically founded by Emperor Jonach I, also the founder of the city of Fedala, and the founder of the Second Empire itself. They were the first team to be sponsored by the government, although sponsorship was dropped admist national failures in World Cup 25 in 2016, four years after the team's foundation. For this, it has continous infamy for being amongst the more wealthy teams and always having the better players. It has been showing continous improvement, which is outstanding for a newer team. They are also the subjects of an enormous fan base which has outgrown that of most other clubs; to this, the original stadium, built by Jonach I, was expanded two years later to hold 430,000 spectators. The only national level stadium that holds more is the Olympic stadium at Macabea City, with seats for over six million spectators, and home ground to Royal Club Española.
History
Founded in 2012, it has since then grown to be one of the largest and most popular clubs of the Empire. Originally, the team was a private organization that fought in a private league for small time participants, managed by Derik Ferst. It was composed of sixteen unknown players and funded through small time sponsorships and by the players themselves. The team played for a small village just outside modern Fedala, as Fedala did not exist until its construction in 2011. Upon the founding of the city, to be capital of the Empire, Jonach, who had visited the town before to persuade the township to move to the city once it was constructed, persuaded the team to move to Fedala to provide further incentive for the others within the village. The team finally agreed to the arrangement when a multi-million dollar sponsorship was proposed, as well as the construction of their own stadium. The team first began playing as an official first division team by 2012, and played in the 2016-2017 Season and thereafter; the 2016-2017 season being the first official season of Macabee football since the fall of the First Empire of the Golden Throne in 1905. The team also played against its second division comrades during the War of Golden Succession, providing free games for refugees from war stricken areas of the Empire. The team also played the first football game in SafeHaven2 since the beginning of the war, as a sign of forgiveness to said nation. It is no doubt that the team will be remembered for ages to come, and it has a bright football career ahead of itself as well.
The Jonach Catalán Imperial Stadium was contructed in 2011, along with the rest of the city, originally able to hold 63,000 spectators. By 2012, with its allotment to the Fedala Imperials, it was expanded to hold seating for 72,000 spectators. It received a final expansion in 2013, under funding from the team itself, to a spectacular availability of 430,000 seats. It is the second largest sports stadium to date in the Empire.
Players
The team officially has fourteen players although it is in the process of purchasing a host of reserves, in the face of multiple off and on season injuries and such. The team is expecting to have twenty-two players by the end of 2016.
