Fegosian

Introduction

Fegosian is the language spoken by most citizens of Alfegos as a second, if not first, language. It is mainly based on pictograms not supportable on computer technology due to its immense complexity, so usually is substituted with phonetic spellings or English.

The Alphabet

There are 2800 basic characters in existance for the description of basic ideas or objects, such as the symbol "Fegos" which denotes a tree or a country.

These can be combined to produce more complex characters, or strung into words. E.g Fego'rai'toi (The Dominion of All of the Country, literally, or The People's Republic)

Conflicts with modern use

With so many computerised systems, Fegosian is now more commonly found as phonetic spelling, or is completely replaced with english. This has led to a decline in its use, and a failure for any proper attempt at programming the language into computer code.

Also, its lack of being able to produce advanced concepts such as "spaceship" or "nuclear power", mean that english has to be used as a first language for scientists, teachers, school children and engineers.
