A purely sporting nation, and a pessimisitc one at that. The nation has seen just one war in its history, in which no FLP citizens were killed, as the war was lost (As in couldn't find it.) and other nations fought it out.
So without further adieu.
Sporting history of FLP
Grid Iron
FLP first participated in NS bowl III and was defeated at the first obstacle. With hardened hearts the same team showed up for the fourth installment. Despite not having a team for the first match they made it to the second round where they lost every game.
Formula 1 Racing
After an incredible season in the production cars series of FLP, a number of the top teams have drawn together to produce an entry for the internation stage of Formula 1. The season is going as badly as expected.
Backstaffen Park, the nations premier racing track, has received a huge overhawl in preperation for hosting a Grand Prix. A member of the all star team is infact the father of FLP's hockey playing Farmish brothers.
Ice Hockey
FLP first participated in Cherry Cup VIII. Reaching the final 8 of this competition boosted the popularity of the sport in the nation. Incredibly, The team reached the final of the Cherry Cup IX. In the tenth cup they made all the way to the semis before losing narrowly to the Starblaydi Rayzors for the second time in the competition. However the scalp of Oliverry was taken en route. A third place finish in CC XI was unexpected after a poor start. The team now await the start of CCXII.
Lacrosse
The team is currently receiving a humiliating beating in this sport. Which until recently was completely unknown to the nation, and still is to most of it.
Baseball
The teams first season has gone mixedly to date, or "Average" as the team coach consistently refers to it. The season appears to be in a mid-season break just a few games in.
Football
The team is now established Under-21 World Cup. A few notable players are present, but otherwise the team is poor. Made it to the second round before going down narrowly to the second seed Jeruselem in U21 World Cup 14.
The first team has been signed up to the Baptism of Fire competition and is loitering in anticipation of the Cup's start.
