This article concerns the First Summer Olympics as it relates to Nationstates. For more general information, please see the Wikipedia article on the subject.

The First Summer Olympics are, at present, an ongoing event. Fifteen cities expressed a wish to host the first ever Summer Games.

These Olympics have been preceded by the Tyrellian Ylompic Games, but nonetheless will hopefully be the first completed Summer Olympiad, as, firstly, the first Ylompics were held independently from the Olympic Council, and secondly there have been previous incomplete attempts to create a Summer Games (such as Kaza '08).

After a vote of nomination, two bids were put forward by the Olympic Upper Council (four were actually nominated, but two - Sonoma City of Bedistan and Timiocato of Pacitalia - had to withdraw) for vote by the entire Olympic Council. They were:
