Flag of Ceorana
The flag of Ceorana consists of three colors. The flag uses red, white and blue, Ceorana's national colours. Ceorana also has other flags for other occasions and people.
Design and Symbolism
The flag of Ceorana consists of a canton and a striped field. The canton contains two white crossed quill pens (symbolizing learning, knowledge, and challenge), flanked by two white five-pointed stars (representing the five provinces and five constitutional values of Ceorana) and above a white key (representing rule of law). The field consists of eleven horizontal red and white stripes, symbolizing energy (red) and peace (white). The number eleven is one for each province, one for each constitutional value, and one for a universal, amorphous value. Some Ceoranans interpret this as God, for some, the people, and for some (cynics), the United Nations. The flag is defined in Article 5, Section 1 of the Ceoranan Meta Law:
- The flag of Ceorana shall be constructed in proportions of nineteen units wide by eleven units tall. In the top corner, there shall be a dark blue canton, containing a set of crossed quill pens, flanked by two white five-pointed stars, and above a key. The field of the flag shall have eleven horizontal red and white stripes, evenly spaced.
Flag Customs
Unlike the real world American flag, customs involving the Ceoranan flag are much looser, since the flag is meant to be simply a symbol of the nation and not a sacred item. For this reason, it is often printed on various items for use by the Ceoranan government. The preferred method of disposal is reuse in some other form, such as a patch for an item of cloth. If this is not possible, the flag should be burned. If an honored person dies or is killed, the flag is flown five-eighths of the way up the pole. Although these courtesies are usually observed when using the flag, Ceoranan law does not mandate it, and the flag can be burned or desecrated in protest.

Ceoranan UN Diplomatic Flag
The Ceoranan UN Diplomatic Flag is the flag of Ceorana's UN Office, and, by extension, the flag used for Ceorana's United Nations affairs. It is never used alone, as it is the symbol of a division of Ceorana, but is displayed under the Ceoranan flag on Ceoranan UN literature, Ceoranan UN Office belongings, and at Ceorana's seat at the UN General Assembly.
