The Footballian horse is the national animal of Footballia. It has been the preferred mode of transportation and warfare throughout the history of the land, and achieved a mythical significance from the Rorçn. It is one of the fastest breeds of horse in the world, having been bred for millenia for speed first by the Rorçn and then by the Footballians. The average height for a Footballian horse is just under 14 hands.

History

It is not known when the Rorçn began breeding the native horses for speed, but it is thought that they began sometime around 4700 BFE (4000 BC), if not sooner. These horses were trained to move for vast distances at great speeds across the fertil grasslands of the indigenous people's homeland. The horses were never bred for size; however, the muscles required for maintaing great speeds over great distances often led to increased size in the horses, though never enough to significatnly impair the speed.
