The Emirate of Forend is a country in the African Eastern Region that is bordered by the Djiboutian States in the south and unclaimed land in the north and the west, Zarathustra in the east. It has a coastline of 30 miles in the souteast which is mainly filled with harbor activity because of the Tigris estuary. Forend has a population of 8 million with 5,4 million living in Florenville, the capital, 600,000 in Reka and 1,8 million in Al Barad, the remaining 150,000 in the harbor city Umm Qasr and 50,000 nomads all across the country.
The Arabic language is spoken by a majority of the population, only an small number of elite such as landowners, sheiks & entrepreneurs speak French but since Forend became a member of the African Union, also English has been recognized as the third official language.
