As the Yin Empire (renamed as The Grand Duchy of Aden) and Prudentian Empire consolidated powers, other groups settling further inland in the east gave way as the promise of new technology and better life encouraged the individual duchies to join the Empire as antonomous entities. Soon after The Yin Empire announced itself as a part of the Great Prudentian Empire, The Grand Duchy of Joaoia (named after the leader of the movement from the famine, Saint Joan) in Regent Valley integrated themselves in the largest Empire in the history of The Heartland.

The remaining Germanic Duchy of Sachsen fought a brief struggle in 1345 AD against the Imperial troops from Joaoia and the Yin Empire after Joaoian Empire's Princess Marian married the Regent Duke of Loannis. The ensuing war was called in Twenty-Years war and made Sachsen the only site in Aerigia where a battle between Aerigian and Imperial troops took place. Aerigia proper and Grays Harbor became the Prudentian Empire in its full entity in 1402AD as the Western Aerigian forces from the Yin and Antek Duchies conquered the Sachsen and Joaoian lands held in Germanic hands.

As part of the negotiation between High Aberdeen and the Duchy of Aden (The renamed Yin Empire), the Haberian King agreed to move the capitol of the Empire to Aden, in exchange for the use of Aden's naval forces overseas.
