Fractal reality is, according to those who believe in it, a trait of the multiverse, explaining how reality, while generally coherent and plausible from any given viewpoint or timeline, is macroscopically self-conflicting and fractured (hence, fractal). Things happen that simply can not, such as nations of millions of people suddenly appearing and disappearing, neither one with any trace as to where they came from or where they left to; IGNORE events and RetCons directly break coherent lines of causality that cannot be explained rationally by the standard rules of reality.
