The Free Republic of Freedomstaki is a small, island nation located in the Mediterranean. It is ruled by the Toaiseach, who is also the Supreme Commander of the Freedomstaki military. The nation is also the Minister of Foreign Affairs for the Mediterranean. Freedomstaki has very good civil rights, a good economy despite having a 100% tax rate and high unpemployment, and superb political freedoms.

History

Freedomstaks are Celtic in nature. It is believed that some of Ireland and Scotland's inhabinats were either captured or stowed away on Roman transports.

Freedomstaki became indepdent in 1946 after a revolution had began in 1936 with the Thanksgiving Proclmation, to oust the northern, mainland rulers of our tiny island. The rebellion was not heavily armed, mostly armed with farmer's shotguns and 1 or 2 outdated muskets from the 1890s and some hunting rifles had the advanatage due to the fact they knew the island much better than the foreign occupiers. The revolution lasted ten years but was delayed by World War II. The head of the revolution Sean McGee was elected the first Toaiseach.

The Blueshirts Coup

On Feburary 22, 2004, a coup and revolution took place in Freedomstaki. The coup was prepertrated by a Facist organzation with Nazi-like ideals know as the Blueshirts.

The Blueshirts placed the Toaiseach under house arrest and began plans to disrupt Mediterranean peace. A lone ship, the FMS Spiritraider, patrolling the sea got a message from the newly installed Toaiseach Hercules Hilker. They were ordered to go sink ships in the Lygonia harbor. The ship did speed towards Lygonia... but not to sink ships but call for action. The next day, a Freedomstaki Special Tactics and Operations (STOP) team freed the Toaiseach from his house arrest. There were no deaths of enemy guards or the Toaiseach himself. The Toaiseach was flown south to Kennebushport, where he setup a provosinal goverment. Later that day, an attack happened upon Minous Harbor in Lygonia's main port in which innocent civilians were killed.

Two days later on the 25th, intelligence came in that "Toaiseach" Hilker was buliding a bunker, plans for invasion of the mainland were finalized. The next day, Toaiseach Manion requested some support from Tyraelus and a letter from Toaiseach Hilker was sent to Mrs. Donavon, wife of Micheal Donavon and the captian of fishing vessel Babbage which was destryoed.

The next day, the 27th, invasion plans for Operation Rolling Thunder was sent to allied forces. Also that day, was the massacre of 22 New Kingman citizens on a tour bus in Liberty City, which caused outrage and a decleration of war on New Kingman. Unknown to allied forces, Hilker was killed in a "misfournate accident" and was killed by a disgruntled party member who was acutally his second in command, Tánaiste Neil O'Duffy.

On the 28th, Operation Rolling Thunder began, with the storm of the southern Freedomstaki beaches of Crowne, Caranda and Halle. Tyraelean and New Kingman units began landing later that day. The Lygonian embassay also came under siege by Freedomstaki troops and tanks. The Toaiseach authorized the use of the New Kingman Sentinel Particle Cannon System against the troops attacking the embassay. Tyraelan arttillery setup on the 29th, nothing else happened that day.

March 1st, the next month began with a bang as Facist general was captured by New Kingman Special Forces. The Tripolitan Navy captured a gunboat loyal to the Facists, and also scrambled their Electra fighter planes to aid forces; also three cruise missiles were launched. The record of this was taken from the Tripolitan military:

• Missile 1, successfully negated a target 17 miles inland, ahead of the Taoiseach's forces. The target was an ammunition depot and airstrip used by the fascists.

• Missile 2, unsuccessfully detonated over the sea, due to a mechanical failure in the propulsion system. The intended target is unspecified at this time. The missile was detonated manually to avoid catastrophe.

• Missile 3, successfully negated a target .62 miles outside of Liberty City. The target was a flight control tower at a military airbase .62 miles east of Liberty City. The missile also carried a secondary projectile released above the target site that detonated 105 meters due west of the flight control tower.

The secondary projectile successfully negated the main runway of the airbase by exploding an approximately 25 meter section of the runway. Satellite imagery has confirmed the negation of these targets.

The Toaiseach parachuted from an airplane to land with his troops and lead them personally, bringing a whole new meaning to the title of Supreme Commander.

On the 3rd, The Toaiseach became pinned in a village, the group was almost shot by a rebel solider armed with an AK. They retreated and Tyraelan fired upon the village.

The next day, a resistance group know as the Freedomstaki Liberation Army began battling back the Blueshirts.

Finally on the 5th everything came to a conculsion with the capture of the palace and an armory. The only thing left was the errdication of Toaiseach O'Duffy.

That happened on the 6th of March, when the Tripolitan Navy launched a cruise missile towards the bunker......it completely destryoed and nothing was left but a 95ft wide and 40ft deep smoldering crater. The Toaiseach arrived cracking up saying we've got a new lake. He then got out of the car and unzipped his pants.... and relieved himself on that dead bastard O'Duffy's grave. "I ALWAYS WANTED TO DO THAT!" shouted Manion. That was it the revolution was over.

The Toaiseach made a speech and established the Adminstration of Homeland and Civil Defence and a new counter-terrorism group know as the Mobile Assault, Rescue, and Strike Force or MARS force.

The Sahara Crisis

The Sahara Crisis took place when Freedomstaki exploded a nuclear device in Sahara desert. The bomb was set off by a rogue general in Freedomstaki's Army.
