"From Fields to Shores" is the national anthem of Kedalfax. It was written in 1849 and became the national anthem in 1888.

History

The music was written by W.G. Walden in 1849. The piece's original name was "The Wing," until T. Romyn Pryce wrote lyrics to it, and performed it under it's current name at the beginning of a concert in 1855. The piece became the national anthem in 1888 by a legislative vote.

Performance

The song is usually performed with various horns and string instruments. It is rarely performed a cappella, though some artists have done so.

The song is played at the beginning of every major sporting event, as well as at many other times.

Cover versions of the song have been made by various artists. The most notable cover is that of Kedalfaxian band K, which is extended and features a variety of instruments.

Lyrics

From fields to shores
We praise our Kedalfax
In our nation we have loving faith
We shall protect her, one and all
Ador'd
From mounts to lakes
Our Kedalfax shall stand on high
From fields to shores
