- Went into politics for the Conservative Party.
- Sided against Dick Tator during the Shadow War and became a member of the RCPK.
- Became as state-secretary of foreign affairs after a political row where she replaced a green state-secretary in an otherwise left-wing SLP/KGP coalition
- Seen as very influential in the Foreign Ministry as state-secretary.
- Elected by the RCPK as leader in the elections after the van der Laan II cabinet.
