Gar I became the first Overlord of the Footballians in 56 FE. His reign transformed Footballia from a loose tribal force along the coast, living in fear of the natives, into the beginnings of a powerful Empire. This process was begun when he became chieftain of the Footballians, and continued beyond his reign.

Early Life

As the son of Cheiftain Torm Xort, grandson of Ruç, who had brought the People out of oppression, Gar was marked for leadership and was given special status. He received exclusive schooling from the elders, but was headstrong and got into trouble a lot.

Chieftain

When he became Chieftain in 43, it became clear the Gar would need to change his ways, both to him and to others. As the young cheiftain settled down, so did the People. They became more organized under his guiding leadership, and they adored him. In 56, he changed Footballia.

Gar declared himself Overlord Gar I of the Footballian Empire in 56 FE, transforming Footballia into an Imperial land. He embarked on a campaign of expansion, reaching all the way inland to Hockey Canada by his death.
