George V (George Michael Billopec, born 8th January 1910) was Lord of Billopesha from 1943 until his death in 1971. He was seen as one of the great monarchs of Billopesha and was seen as a national heroic figure to many of his people. This was so much so that, in 2005, a action/adventre film was made by Director Tim Price about his World War II journey. When he ascended to the throne, Billopesha was still at war with Germany and Japan in World War II.

Under his rule, Billopesha saw a rise in industrial power as well as a growing tension with it's neighbouring rival, Hontock.

Born in Billopec, Billopesha, George studied at Elsillim School and Bridge College to become an engineer. He joined the Royal State Army in 1931 and he suffered a tragic loss when his mother, Lady Anne Billopec was murdered at her family home in 1933. Later that year, he got married to Mary Woodrow and they has a son, Richard who was born in 1937.

He was notable for fighting in World War II as a Major and a Colonel where, after being involved in the Battle of France, he was captured by the Germans and held in a Prisoner of War Camp. In 1941, he was sent over to North Africa where he made a successful escape with his regiment from their prison cell. They made a miraculous escape through enemy territory, first via a German train and then a tank. He got lost in the desert where he suffered sun stoke and had to be taken to a hospital in Tobruk, Libya to be treated. He then saved the life of his friend David Jones who had been injured in the desert by carrying him out of the desert while seriously ill and attacked by a sandstorm. He was awarded the Military Cross with a second award bar and after was promoted to a Colonel. During the campaign, his wife, Mary, had travelled to Tobruk to see him and on Christmas Day 1941, gave birth to their second son, Alexander. He continued to fight, helping to destroy the Befestigungsklammer, until his father, Lord Henry IX was killed and he became Lord of Billopesha. He continued to fight on the last assult that relieved North Africa from the Germans and then had to resign from the army.

During his reign, George V had to face the rise of Hontock and the rivalry with Damien V. This included the ‘Hontock Missile Crisis’ and an assassination attempt on him by a Hontockain in 1963 where he was shot in the arm. The assassin was later caught and imprisoned. Then, in 1971, George was diagnosed with pneumonia and died shortly afterwards. His death came as a shock to everyone and he was buried in Sunstone Cathedral in Billopec at a grand funeral. George was seen as one of the better Lords of Billopesha and was greatly missed.
