The Republic of Georgeonia is a very large, socially progressive nation, notable for its burgeoning wild green squid population. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 95 million have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often. The medium-sized government juggles the competing demands of Education, Law & Order, and Commerce. The average income tax rate is 25%, but much higher for the wealthy. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Information Technology, Book Publishing, and Automobile Manufacturing industries.

The nation's Capital is Oxonia, with a population of 16,400,000. Oxonia's major industries include I.T. Gambling and Automobile Manufacture. The Mayor is veteran politician Orson Brown. The Nation's second city, Rouse, is smaller and less industrialised than Oxonia, but still boasts a large population of 9,000,000, as well as a flourishing Publishing industry. Whereas Oxonia is considered the commercial and industrial hub of Georgeonia, Rouse is its artistic and spiritual centre, with impressive libraries, museums, and one of the world's most awe-inspiring cathederals, The 'Rajon d'Cour'
A recent fundraising campaign organised by the Georgeonian Federation for Sport Development (GFSD) raised an impressive £6,200,000. The money is to be used to establish a football academy on the outskirts of Oxonia, and it is hoped that in the future Georgeonia will be represented with success in International competition. At the moment the game is played only at amature level, but this will no doubt rapidly change with the expertise the acadamy will be able to provide.
