Gerash

Gerash are a race of reptilian aliens originating on Ghargonia Prime, some 50,000 lightyears away from Sol.

On average, Gerash are 8-9 foot tall, and twice as strong as the strongest Ghargonians. They are carnivorous, using sharp claws and teeth to eat mostly raw flesh. They do not require a meal more than two to three times per week.

As reptiles, Gerash are not big fans of the cold. Temperatures that may be comfortable for some humans may be dangerously low for a Gerash. In cold environments they need to take a 'warm-up' period before engaging in activities. Gerash are far more adaptable to temperatures than Ghargonians, however.

Gerash are a species of slaves, with only a handful out of millions claiming to be 'free' in any sense of the word. Millions of years ago, the Gerash species was subjugated by the Ghargonians, and used as military grunts and hard labourers. Their intelligence is so low that the smarter Ghargonians found it quite easy to brainwash the Gerash into doing whatever they wanted.

Gerash are not completely stupid, however. They are capable of basic thought, and their ability to plan local tactics in small-scale battles comes close to exceeding other species. They can fire weapons with a high degree of accuracy, and their substantial strength and surprising speed makes them lethal in hand-to-hand combat.

Gerash are very much like Ghargonians, only they are even larger, and generally a lot more brown. They are even more muscular and their head and snout is somewhat bulkier, almost verging on armoured. There is no visual difference between Gerash males and females; the Gerash themselves can only tell by smell.
