. At the last count is was worth approximately $0.52 USD. It is not subdivided into a currency with a separate name, but it is possible to incur debts to a specificity of 1/100 of a gnor.
Usage
The gnor is generally traded by private citizens using either cash or heavily-authenticated checks and money transfers. Due to the amount of fraud in Ceoarana, unsecured loans carry towering interest rates, and secured ones are only slightly better. For this reason, and the fact that identity fraud would be crippling, credit cards are almost unheard of. The Ceoranan government has also set up a system for transferring money through the government using a voter registration identification, but this has seen little use. Most corporate debts are paid through direct wiring of money.
Banknotes
The gnor is traded using banknotes. These are have different colors for each denomination. All feature different images representing Ceorana, it's people, or its natural environment. The denomination is clearly shown in Hindu-Arabic numerals on the right side of the bill, and spelled out at the top. To the right is a ∂20 note.
History
Through out the history of Ceorana, many different currencies have been used, officially and unofficially, such as the Ceoranan Dollar and the Ceoranan Krone. However, in the first year of the meeting of the Congress, the gnor was standardized as the official currency of Ceorana. It is now used for most debts within the nation, as it is fairly stable.
