The city of Grayskull is named for the Castle Grayskull which was originally located in the same location. After the castle was destroyed, the city was built, and is the traditional seat of power for the Eternian military. Despite the military dissolution, it still is the home of the para-military defense force, the United Defense Force of the Confederacy of Liberal Men and Women (UDFCLMW). Outside the city of Grayskull to the north, is Grayskull Air Base, the primary military airbase in The Confederacy, which houses a large portion of the UDFCLMW Aerial Division. To the south is the General Howard Memorial Airport.
The city of Grayskull has a major nightlife spurred on by a combination of rowdy off duty troops and very liberal laws allowing drinking at age 18 and prostitution, among other things.
There is a large tourism amount of into Grayskull. These people come for only two reasons:
- To see the historic ruins of Castle Grayskull
- To experience the aforementioned nightlife
