The Great Alliance War

The Great Alliance War (or 'Great War' or the 'Eastern Continental War' as it is known on said continent) was a conflict that lasted between 1937 and 1943 and drew several nations in the Alliance of Honourable Peoples into outright total war with a group of nations known as the Eastern Union.

The reasons for the war are fairly simple; on the poorer eastern continent, the Alliance was seen as an imperialist force that wanted to keep the eastern nations down for economic and territorial reasons. There had been a history of Northern and Western conquests in the East, most notably the Roudland colonisation of several Moronyickan territories on Eastar Minor from 1814-1822, and the Great Wrightland annexation of several Grohl Ocean colonies that would otherwise have been deemed Eastern.

Angry at the lack of empathy for their continent, many nations in the East had radical politics come to the fore during the early 1900s, especially following the Roudland-Trollinahole War of 1907-09.
