Great Green Federation

GGMP Federation

The Great Green Federation(GGF) is a growing region that is the capital of the Federation sharing the same name, an alliance of several regions. It is also the centre of the Imperium, which is regrouped in the GGF after the devasting attack on its home region, Imperium. A New Haven, a large region headed by Armegh and Gidoewu, merged into the GGF, making it one of the 50 largest regions in the world. However, population has shrunk in recent times to lack of recruiting.

Government

The Government is headed by the Supreme Staff, which consists of: The Emperor, the Chancellor, the Head of the ICA(Information and Communications Agency), and the Federal Commander. Each have equal power. All decisions are made with a consent of the Supreme Staff. There is also a Senate, headed by the Prime Minister, which makes the laws. However, the Senate is little used. All positions are chosen by mutual agreement, and elections are held if there isn't any agreement.

History

Great Green Mountain Provinces

The Great Green Federation was not always known as such. With the founding of the Great Green Mountain Provinces by Cherohala the GGMP started out as a peaceful region concerned with it’s own politics rather then the NS world as a whole. It was here that the three founders of the Federation were each recruited and contributed to the GGMP as Senators. Times were good in the GGMP until a terrible spell of inactivity hit the region and two Senators, Zy3res and Dren lead a rebellion from the GGMP and founded the short lived Terriana Imperium. Following the break up of the Terriana Imperium former Senator Zy3res returned to the GGMP and Dren wandered until being recruited by Imperialis, the capital of a large Empire at the time.

GGMP Reborn

Since the end of the Terriana Imperium the GGMP was yet again inactive following a quick revival by now Speaker of Nations (President) Waxania following the death of the regions founder Cherohala. After this time Dren had become a competent military officer with the Imperium and suggested liberating his former home from its inactivity. Both Waxania and Zy3res, former Senators of the GGMP, were contacted for assistance in the invasion and agreed to lend their assistance with Waxania becoming the new Delegate of the GGMP. Following the victory Waxania was named President, Dren the Supreme Military Commander, and Zy3res the Head of the Information and Communication Agency. The three formed the Supreme Council; this group had the final say in all GGMP affairs. A New era of growth was now upon the GGMP alongside the Imperium and its allies.

The GGMP Federation

It was suggested by Dren that the GGMP, being of moderate strength and size, was able to take part in military actions and expansion into other regions. So it began with the expulsion of a dictator in the region Northcutt that the GGMP became the GGMP Federation with the acceptance of the region into the Federation. Shortly after Neo Atlantis accepted to join and the power of the Federation grew once more. Slowly but surely the GGMP was beginning its rise to something greater, one region at a time.

Great Green Federation

Trouble began once the GGMP ran into conflict in the region “The Library” against the defenders “Zurich”. Since the GGMP was a founderless region and now involved with larger groups such as the defenders it had to be secured with a founder so it was decided that the GGMP would be refounded into the Great Green Federation. With the refounding of the region a new age of growth and expansion was upon the member of the GGF and the growing legions experienced combat in many regions of NationStates fighting alongside raiders, invaders, Imperialists, and some defenders. Tough times came for the Imperium and the GGF was needed to plug the holes in the defenses and was quick to comply as Dren had been promoted to Lord Commander, the highest rank in the Imperium. But that would only last so long…

The Imperium-Federation

Tough times in the Imperium turned worse following an unprovoked attack from the region Catlandatopia resulting in the complete destruction of the Imperium and the capture of both capitals, Imperialis and Imperium. The Imperium was reorganized in the GGF as a place to mount a counter attack and fight a bitter war. During this time the Imperial Remnant fought alongside the furious Legions of the Federation and took the fight to CLT in many regions but the lengthy war took it’s toll oh the Federation and after months of constant battles the Federation was exhausted and both sides sued for peace. The uneasy peace that resulted left the Federation in a difficult position, most of the actions in the war had been defensive and to some the Federation was viewed as a defender organization leaving many potential allies far from the GGF.

Federation Expansion

So the GGF went out on it’s own, took a stance of not accepting allies when possible but rather gathered support into the Federation by adding new member regions both through diplomacy and native supported invasions of regions. By helping the natives of regions in NS the Federation gained valuable support in later battles that would test the limits of this gallant band of soldiers and civilians. During this time numerous regions were added to the Federation and the Empires population rose to approximately 500. The Federation, being very large has become well known at this time and was involved with many large scale NS actions and wars. A new era of diplomatic relations were established, where as before the Federation had been isolationist except when it came to Imperialism and invasions. Following a merge with A New Haven the GGF at last grew to over 100 nations and remains as one of the largest regions of NS to this day. Currently the Federation stands at approximately 675 nations in 13 regions but shows no signs of slowing. Even talks of merging with another large alliance have risen possibly making the Federation the largest player made alliance of regions in NationStates.
