Gregory Allen Harst is the current Prime Minister of The Republic of Hallevor. He is the fifth Prime Minister since the Revolution against the Communist Government. He has been re-elected ten times for two year terms.

Background

Harst was born in Warren on September 16, 2001, to Ronald Harst and Melinda Jackson Harst. At a young age it was realized he was intellectually gifted. He was able to skip a few grades and got to college when he was 15 years old. He studied economy, astronomy, and politics at the Warren University where he met Elizebeth Riley his future wife. He got a job as an Economics Professor at Warren University and joined a Think Tank which studied ways to apply Chicago School of Economics Theory to real life. He didn't stay long and later in 2022 decided to go into politics. He ran for Warren's Senator and was elected in a landslide seeing as Warren was a very Libertarian area. In 2025 he announced we would run for Prime Minister, he was fed up with the Traditionalist grasp on civil rights. The senate and the people both voted in favor for Harst who was younger and more educated then all of the other candidates. On February 20th 2026, Harst was appointed to the Ministry and instantly got to work.

After being elected, he worked on reducing taxes as a first priority. Something Hartman failed to do. Afterwards he removed gratuitous laws proposed by Hartman, one of which made all pre-merital sex a crime.

Political Roles

He gained foothold in the senate when the Traditionalist Party was at it's most popular. However as civil rights started to decline and the Economy started to be ignored, people wanted a change. After three terms as Senator he announced he was to be running for Prime Minister. The pre-election polls showed that he was neck in neck with Donald Hartman of the Traditionalist Party. Later Donald Hartman lost popularity by issuing a law forbidding sexual relations between same-sex couples. He lost more popularity by sending out well-armed army reserves to put down a few peaceful gay rights protests. Harst was elected to the Ministry three days after he promised in his speech on Nyrenton hill, to expand civil rights and remove the government hands from economy.

Platform

Harst and people behind his election party wrote the book "The Hidden Ideal" which laid out clearly what he stood for and where he standed:

  • Legalization of Abortion
  • Reforming the Economy to Laissez Faire
  • Legalizing Euthanasia
  • Eradicating the Death Penalty
  • Abolishment of Drug Laws
  • Individualist Sovereignty
  • Expansion of Civil and Economic Liberties
  • Free Trade and Private Property
  • Promotion of Sexual Freedom
  • Secular State and Secular Education

Religion

Before his administration it was controversial that he was an Atheist rather then a Christian or an Agnostic. However eventually science became more popular to the youth and Atheism became more widespread. Even still the legacy sticks with him as a "Godless Heathen".
