The region of Haekaz is a sub-region in the region of Thorin. Consisting of the land included in and to the west of the Thornichi Mountain Range, the region shares its border, as well as an often volatile relationship, with the sub-region of Zirconia.

History

Before the Split

Before the Thornichi came to Thorin in approximately 4600 BF, the land was controlled by the Lugonomeks, the indigenous people of the region. Three tribes, such as the Denomeks, lived within the mountains, while five more, including the Unleimeks, Yunomeks, and Galethomeks, lived to the west of the mountains. The eight tribes lived in a loose confederation, along with the rest of the Lugonomek tribes. When the Thornichi finally did arrive, they stayed in the mountains for about 700 years, living together with the Lugonomeks and with each other. However, during these years, division rose between two groups of tribes within the Thornichi. The Heekazi were a grouping of tribes combined by common ideals, while the ZircoRomborgians were a single, large ethnic grouping.
