The former Shessaran Tywysogion, or High Prince, Haerlan died a victim of corruption. The son of the Great Uniter, Cyrn Pendefigion, Haerlan grew up to see the honor and sanctity of the Shessaran way as paramount to all others. When the Buddsoddwyr mewn Pobl, a conglomerate of the largest Shessaran corporations, attempted to force him to become their puppet by threatening to destroy what small economy Shessara had, Haerlan authorized government seizure of all corporations and their assets. Shocked, the Buddsoddwyr mewn Pobl arranged to have Haerlan executed.
