The Republic of Hallevor is a under a Minarchist Libertarian Administration with minimal restrictions. It resides in Europa and is regarded by the United Nations as an Anarchist Society. Originally the old Republic was founded upon the principles of John Locke. Then the principles were refounded upon the ideals of Karl Marx and Josef Stalin. Later after a ten year revolution; the ideals of John Locke, Ayn Rand, and Milton Friedman have come into governmental practice. However Hallevor has been going in numerous directions since then due to increased political freedoms. Anarchist groups have been popping up and rousing for a change. They have gained foothold in the senate and gotten say in issues that come up.
The growing commonplace of Anarchy has caused an uprise of debate in a minority population Traditionalist Party about how to deal with the Anarcho-Punks. It's mainly only a controversy stirred by the media though. This minority however has caused alarm by the public since they have started growing a militia of punk skinheads and anti-anarchists.

Government
Hallevor is a Free Minarchist Republic. The state would intervene as minimally needed to protect life, liberty, and property. The Objectivist Party has been important in maintaining a small government. It keeps civil rights and individual sovereignty as the number one priority. Political rights and Economic rights are also very important, but come as number two on the nessessity list. The Senate also makes it a point to dismiss gratuitous bills, taxes, laws, and issues.
Since it's founding in 1976, there has been a great deal of controversy over the role of the state as there is today. The Traditionalist Party is the main conservative side who enjoys the economic freedoms but not the civil freedoms. Generally speaking the Socialist Party is the exact opposite, but there have been members of the Socialist Party who were mainly Social Democrats rather then out and out Socialists.
Geography
Physical
Hallevor is in the middle of vast plains which is surrounded by rocky and mountainous terrain. Including the no longer active Mt. Karlaine in the East which houses the city of Carlesburg at it's foot. The plains have a few hills which have been used by companies to mine Uranium safely. The uranium industry being one of the few regulated economic areas. In the West there are many lakes which house many known fishing and boating areas. There are also rivers running out to the Blaean Sea which has a fairly secure fishing industry.
The North is dominated by tundra and colder climates, as well as it's famous evergreen forests. The cities in the north are mostly small cities as well as a few large towns which have been known to hunt rarely in order to conserve the various species. There has been a noted gradual shrink of the tundra due global warming. It has also been thought that the shrink is due to the fact that Exoheaters in the middle of villages has become somewhat of a trend. The South is mostly temperate plains with a few hills and valleys. Recent brush fires however have turned a small amount of the south-east into what's now called "The Wasteland". There are large cities and metropolises down in the south that use Eco-Friendly technology as a recent idea which has gained momentum. Though there are also numerous railways and roads all over the nation.
Culture
Music
Music is a big part of Hallevor's culture. The Industrial Metal Band "Discord" is the biggest name among the youth and has a controversial album, "Parasite State" which is the number one best seller. The national anthem "The Rise of Liberty" was originally written by George Hunter for the revolutionary anthem. Before the Freedom War, the Communist Regime employed the song "The Internationale" as the national anthem.
Music reaches back to pre-imperial times for the Hallevoric area. The Druids used to play music during festivals of different celestial objects in the sky. Music also made the Hallevoric region the most widely celebrated and sought after place in the Falforean Empire. Today 87% of youth are able to play an instrument of sorts. It's rumored that Prime Minister Greg Harst's son, John, is the masked keyboardist of the band "Discord". Surveys reveal that foreign bands like Rammstein or Megaherz tend to grow in popularity as youth free thought grows as well.
The 2012 Carlesburg Massacure was widely blamed on Megaherz and foreign bands by the Traditionalist Party. Prime Minister Donald Hartman issued a statement condemning Megaherz for the influence on corrupting youth. However the thought that Megaherz had anything to do with the shooter's motive was blown out of the water when former friends of the shooter gave claims to media that he preferred country music. However Hartman none the less decided that foreign rock bands of any kind should be banned for at least a month for "The sake of decency and order among the youth of today." The government endorsed pop music and music that "turns kids away from God and Government." These famous sets of laws which expanded the state to consume music rights was called The War on Music by popular radio-host Paul Jett and other Minarchist celebreties and press figures. Hartman also issued a ban on various forms of rock and metal in an "effort of safety".
Later any laws on music were taken out of effect when the senate basically thought Hartman was becoming irrational. Greg Harst also removed any state endorsements of music or musical figures. It was said that any laws that give the illusion that the state should have an opinion leads to a corrupt state. Hartman voiced a public apology, September 21st 2027, for giving the state a stance in The War on Music.
Religion
Hallevor is a secular state and focuses more on science and reason. The majority of residents are nonreligious although the majority of people who are religious (7.85%) are Christian(4.15%). They celebrate the Birth of Christ, The Day of Sacrifice, when everyone else in the nation is celebrating the Winter Solstice. There are also Muslims (1.70%) and Wiccans (.5%). The rest are mainly individual sects or family spiritual traditions.
Holidays
There are four main holidays in the average year. They celebrate the astronomical events of the Winter and Summer Solstice, and the Autumnal and Vernal Equinoxes. Although there are four main holidays there are numerous other holidays. Every fullmoon is celebrated, which dates back to 1340 BC when druidic tribes dominated the Hallevoric region. Now the Fullmoons are celebrated in a less spiritual fashion. Gifts tend to be traded and first kisses are also commonplace.
Media
While the internet tends to be the usual media source, television and reading are also known to be widespread. The most famous of the News Hours is a comedy show called "The Hourly News Hour", which satirizes other shows but shows real news at the same time. Digital radio and high def television have been in the norm and there are now about ten thousand channels per TV company.
Newspapers
The most widely trusted and respected newspaper (and also the most widely sold) is the "Nyrenton Inquirer", a Neutral paper which is known for delivering only the facts and in an entertaining way as well. One which tends to sell more to the religious people is one called "The Christian Word" which is known for backing up religious right Traditionalist Party ideals and having a twisted sense of history.

Dating back to the end of the Hallevoric Revolutionary War in 1794 and being freed from the old Falforean Kingdom, a instable Republic was formed which lasted amazingly for a hundred years. The republic was dubbed "The New Falforean Republic" and had a new flag. When Communist ideals were being read by university students, rapid revolution begun and with in a year the government was overthrown. The Students for Communism established the State of Hallevor. So called after Comrade Thomas Hallevor, the leader of the Revolution. For eighty years there was a Statist dictatorship over the masses. The leader of these eighty years was Leonard Graham. In 1966 Advocates of Objectivism, lead by William Miller, rebelled against the Communist Authority. The Civil War lasted ten years and was dubbed by the rebel press as the Freedom War. Eventually in Nyrenton, January 17 1976, a lone assassin shot Leonard Graham as he was being escorted to his office. Who it might be is unknown but there are plenty of theories. With Graham dead, the Objectivists overthrew the government and created a Minarchist State. Miller was elected the first Prime Minister of the Minarchist Republic, probibly the only true Objectivist Prime Minister. He was assassinated three years later.
