The Hamilton River is the second largest in the Simtropolis region. The river is named after Audlanden revolutionary James Hamilton.
Location
The Hamilton River is located south of the continental divide of the continent of South Simtropolis. The river starts in southern Metropolitan Houston, and runs down into Audland. From there it runs further south through Audland's major cities, and empties in the Rouston Delta National Wildlife Preserve.
Shipping
The Hamilton River is mostly level up until Lancaster. At Lancaster, the Hamilton River Channel begins. The canal runs with the river from Lancaster to Clinton. The last lock is between McCarthy and New Scotland, but from that lock the river is navigable for shipping for another 203 km.
