Short Biography
Early Life

Benefiting from the Access to Education Programme of 1958 Brite gained a place at University College Neudek to study Economics where he would later go on to achieve his PhD in Economics. During his time at university Brite rose through the ranks of the UCN Student Union to become Student Union President with the Social Democratic Students banner.
First Election to Parliament
Nomination
Brite was asked by the NSDP Central Committee in Neudek to seek nomination for a Parliament seat, a request which he at first resisted thinking he did not stand a chance for election. It was the members of the South West Tiuo NSDP local party which convinced him to stand, a request which he took up.
Result
He won the seat of South West Tiuo by just 504 votes in 1963 (which increased to 19,219 in this re-election in 1968).
In Parliament
Education
In Parliament Brite quickly came to the forefront gaining a parliamentary reputation from passionate speaking particularly on education policy which resulted in his nomination by the Prime Minister of the day for the Education cabinet brief. Becoming Prime Minister
The highly successful education reform and boost in funding provided in a short space of time gave Brite a platform to stand for Parliamentary Party Leadership in 1969. He won this with 70.3% of the vote, allowing him to stand for Prime Minister in the following 1970 elections. The NSDP secured 81% of the Parliamentary seats making Brite the youngest ever and first Tiuo-born Neudegg Prime Minister at 30.
Becoming President
The post of Prime Minster was short lived however when then President, The Honoured Jennifer Louise Timms OPR HP, aged 61 at the time, suddenly died of a heart attack in her private study in the Heim und Büro vom Präsidenten. Brite was nominated to stand for President for the NSDP.
