Havlislin

Havlislin is a province in the north of Morindira.

History

Havlislin comprises the former Franns Kingdom of Morindira, excluding the western islands. This territory was part of the Tomanian Isles, but was ceded to the Franns Kingdom in successive treaties (1659, 1668, and 1678).

It was one of the original 5 provinces created during the Morindiran Revolution on March 4, 1789.

Geography

Havlislin is surrounded by the Morindiran provinces of Mestya and Jaeda, as well as by Greater Tomania and the Elegaer Sea.

Situated in the north-east of the country along the south of the Tomanian frontier, the province is unusually long and narrow. Its principal city is Vendarra, which with nearby Roubain, Toucro and Ville d'Asq constitutes the center of a cluster of industrial and former mining towns totalling slightly over a million inhabitants. The principal rivers are the Ach, Achot and Taegras.

Culture

Quenya Elvish is spoken by around 20,000 people in the northern part of the province. Tomanian culture has most greatly effected this province of Morindira.
