Early Life

Helen Tinen was born Helen Sophie Uintty in the small city of Gout.

University

Tinen attended Gout State University studying History. She got involved with the Student Union and later the Neudegg Treu und Wahr Social Democratic Party where she met James Abbot Hugh Tinen.

Election to Parliament

In Gout

Tinen stood as the Parliamentary candidate for the Gout North in 1988 but was unsuccessful and the seat was held by the Neudegg Liberal Party.

In Neudek

In 1993 she stood for the Neudek Central West seat.

Result

Tinen won the seat by 5,351 votes.

In Parliament

Tinen spends her time in Parliament fighting for the issues relating to Central West Neudek and tends to speak in debates on social welfare, healthcare, education and the private sector.
