The Imperial Dominate of Henningania
Henningania (German: Henninganien), officially the Imperial Dominate of Henningania (German: Kaiserliches Dominat von Henninganien), is a country in soutern Jethnea. It is bordered on the north and east by the South-Jethnean Ocean, on the west by Voxio and 1Q and on the south by Vanilla Dunes.
Henningania is a federal constitutional monarchy of 11 states provinces ('Regios'). Henningania is a member state of the Grand Entente and the Brother's Assemblage. Henningania is reknown for its strong economy and one of the highest living-standards in Jethnea.

The political system
Scematic view of the political system of Henningania
The political system of Henningania is that of constitutional democracy with a strong executive. While the legislative branch (->Senate) passes the laws, the Emperor has the right to veto the Senate's decision and pass own laws without consideration of the Senate. Imperial Laws can not be revoked by a senatorial voting. The rights of the Emperor are:
- Representation of the state towards foreign powers
- Nomination and dismissal of the Imperial Chancellor
- Passing, vetoing, revoking and signing of laws
- Commando of the Imperial Armed Forces
The Imperial Chancellor coordinates the work of the ministers and their respective ministries. He is only responsible to the Emperor, not to the Senate. Hence, the Imperial Chancellor is not neccessarily backed by the senatorial majority.
The Senate is made up by 153 senators which are elected by all adult citizens every three years. The amount of seats for each party is determined through proportional representation.
Current Government
The current Henninganian government is led by the Grand-Duke of Henningania, The Rt. Hon. Friedrich von Boeselager. Appointed by Henning II. in 2005, he still serves under Dispoticus IV. after the death of Henning II. in October 2006. The Imperial Cabinet consists of:

The current Senate is led by the President of the Senate Hein Hoebink M.S. of the Conservative Party.

Currently, the Imperial Chancellor is backed by the Senate - the CP and HRP formed a "Coalition of Honour", compromising 91 of the 153 seats.

Major Cities
Agora
Agora is the capital of the Empire - and its absolute core city. The whole nation derives from the city which the father of Agora, Hildebrandt of Tuxion, founded in 1353. Agora is spread along the Bay of Agora and the river Iller. Its 7.5 Million inhabitants live in the 93 Bezirke (burrows) of the city. Agora is the home of the Imperial Government, most national and many international companies, has international air- and seaports, is the center of the railroad-system and the end/start of most of the important statewide motorways. While Agora suffers today from the increasing traffic inside the city, the magistrate is fighting these problems by increased spendings on public transportation.
The city of Agora has been ruled by the Conservative Party since 1934 now, having an Absolute Majority in both the Provincial and Communal parliaments. The Major of Agora, Lucas von Horenburg derives from one of the most famous families of the country and has been Major of the capital since 1987.
Pasargadae
The second largest city of the Empire is Pasargadae. With its 5,044,300 inhabitants (1/2007) it is the dominating city of the north of Henningania. Located at the South-Jethnean ocean, Pasargadae is today the most important sea-port of the Empire - the port handles 8087 million container per year (2006). While the city itself is predominatingly industrial, it has a very traditional Old Town with lots of landmarks and a beautiful scenery. The Sanct-Basileus-Catedralen or the Bischoffsgatan (Bischoff Road) are well known throughout the whole Empire and are said to be the "face" of the city.
Pasargadae is one of the few cities where the working-class is dominating, hence it has ever been a stronghold of left parties. However, in 2006 the Conservative Party won the Senatorial, Provincial and Local elections in a landslide victory, which was thought to be a great surprise since the LEFT-party had a leading position in most surveys.
The city has ever been the place of coronation of the Emperors, a fact that explains the strong relation which all Emperors had with the place. The Sandvestpalast (Sandvest Palace) used to be the summer seat of the Emperors, however Henning I. chose to reside in the capital all year. This meant a slight decrease of influence for the city of Pasargadae, but still remains as the coronation place of the Emperors.
Being the northern central of the country, huge military bases have been erected. Besides the Kaiser-Dispoticus-III-Kriegshafen (Emperor-Dispoticus-III-Naval Port) there are the Oranierkaserne (Orange Barracks) and the III. Kaiserliches Luftmachtsfliegfeld (IIIrd Imperial Airforce Base). All three military installations are intended to protect the four northern provinces in case of a military conflice on Henninganian soil. Pasargadae is as well the only city of the Empire which provides enough shelters for all inhabitants. These shelters still remain from the time when the conflict with Kyralya menaced to escalate.
