History of Daekerius

The Beginning

The Nation of Daekerius was traditionally officially founded on June 18th 83 Anno Domini, by a young Romatian Philosopher Nemius. He originally was revolting against corrupt Kyotians who had made present-day Daekerius has a Colony of Kyotia. He began his revolution in 65 AD when he was 19 years old. He created a nationalist movement which was strong enough to challenge a Superpower. The Kyotian Empire was yet though, just beginngin her rise to power, but Nemius's timing was keen as waiting a couple years would have made a revolution impossible. This 17 year old revolution was fought hard, and many cities, and people were destroyed in the process. Nemius found his goal in 83 AD, when he at last pushed the last Kyotian armies from the Romatius coast. He then was proclaimed by the People as "Supreme De facto Emperor of Daekerius". With this, Nemius was the First leader of Daekerius as a United People. Under him, Daekerius' territory grew, and was 5 times bigger than by the time the Revolution ended. He died in the year 146 at the record age of 101. His time as Emperor, saw Daekerius progress so far. The people were lucky to have a Democracy at this time, the title "Emperor" (Or in Daekerian, Remusan) was merely ceremonial, he/she still had to adhere to the National Legislature, and a Constitution. After he died a less prosperous period began in 149 when the new elected leader took office. A interim leader completed Nemius' term. This new leader was named,Markus Antonius. During his term Daekerius tripled in size, and was much more prosperous. This was also the time in which the bicameral legislature, on both the Provincial, and National Levels advanced, and flourished. Daekerius then, had yet another war with The Imperial Empire of Kyotia in 1074 AD. At this time, Daekerius was very very strong, but Kyotia was even stronger by a small gap. The Emperor at the time, Tennas Helenil was captured by the Kyotians, and was executed in the Hellenia City center, in front of a crowd of loyal Daekerians. He was executed by multiple stabs of a sword. Part of Southwestern of Daekerius became a Kyotian Protectorate, due to this war. The next hundred years was very quite until June 1179. This was the time in which the new Emperor Terron Kenis ordered the Daekerian Legions to invade the Kyotian Protectorate of New Daekerius. It was a short and swift campaign in which the Kyotians were run from Daekerius.

The Marble Era

The Marble Renaissance then occured a couple years after this, in which , the other half of buildings that were not marble in Daekerius were replaced by marble buildings. Daekerius is known for her many times of Marble. A good part of Daekerius's economy is based off the Marble industry. But in 1493 the title of Emperor in Daekerius was dissolved, and the title of head of state went to become "Praetor" to where it is today. Also many changes in government occured, with townships being formed. Townships is land that is not incorporated into a city, and can be annexed by a city if the desired area's populace votes on it. In 1789, Daekerius began to rebuild its Army further, and began a small colonization near Kyotia for retribution for the past. Daekerius had seven colonies in the Kyotian Sea by the end of 1800. The Daekerian Empire did not oppress the natives of the colonies, they treated them the same as Daekerian Citizens. In fact when Daekerian Military Forces occupied the islands, and the Republic of Daekerius took Political Control, all citizens having permanent residence there, automatically gained Daekerian Citizenship. See Daekerian Colonies for more information. However this is not to say there werent racial tensions. Many Daekerians who moved to the "territories" were dismayed by the cultural differences, Daekeria being a homogenous nation.

The Capitalist Era

By this time the Capitalist Era was begun. THis was the time in which many peoples in Daekerius were angered at the Government's Greed and Corruption. Some Provinces even wished to succede. In 1858 Two new Northern Daekerius Territories,Chenaso, and Temas became Provinces at last, the first time in 1200 years, when Daekerius expanded to the unoccupied north. The Capitalist Republic of Daekerius was, at this time in fact encouraging Privatization of everything, from schools, to Healthcare. Many people in the nation were highly disturbed by this. This is why in 1870 after the Nation's Legislature decided to completely privitize the healthcare system, that Communism started becoming famous among the people. Olivia Pernasi was known as "The Mother of Communism" in Daekerius. Many of her Foreign travels took here to Marxist places, where she witnessed a "fair nation". In 1878 she began meeting with many other powerful Communists as well, meeting together in "The People's Parliament of Daekerius". They began making plans for a "Liberation of the People". This was the first step in the creation of a "Communist State in Daekerius". In 1881, the People's Parliament sent an ultimatum to the President of Daekerius, demanding more public services, and better treatment of the lower classes. The President of Daekerius, Walther Jikisia and his Cabinet denied the request, and began sending out orders to execute Communists as "Traitors to their Own People". The Communists then at this point began creating very large Militias in Major cities, combating the Capitalists. These conflicts became known as the "Pre-Revolution". During this time the Militia's protected Communists from Capitalist persecution.

The Daekerian Civil War

On January 12th, 1890 the 2nd People's Division attacked the de facto Capital of Capitalism in Daekerius. This Capital was the City of Hellenius. The 2nd People's Division began with a bombing of the stock market. The detonation was so powerful that within 2 hours of explosion, the stock market in its entirety, collapsed. After this bombing the 2nd People's Division were on hand to fight off police, who tried to rescue the injured traders, and CEO's. The Communists immediatly killed as many of these Capitalists as possibly, and caputed about 20 percent. After the stock market bombing, the Communists immediatly began to recruit other Civilians, to take over the City.

Within hours, the Revolution began in other cities as well. Romatius, Ekina, Revsaia, Tejsi, and Terra Novas, saw their Communist populations rise up, and begin taking control of the cities, and either capturing or "disposing" of Capitalist "Devils, and Rapists".
