JUDICIAL

Horsethief Butte's court system consists of 360 municipal courts. The judges are elected and persons must be convicted of thier crimes by a jurry, thought unnamous vote. In addition 12 federal Rule Courts are with an appointed judge are in place to deal with issues such as traffic violations, park rules, and other non criminal matters involving the misuse of public property.

All decisions of the Municiapl and Rule courts can be appealed to the 45 District Courts.

Finnally decisions of the district courts can be appealed to the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court consists of 6 judges elected by proportional representation for a five year term on years ending in 2 and 7.Decisions of the supreme court can be overtuned only with a 3/4 vote of both houses and Presedential Support
