Hurricane Veiru is the deadliest cyclone in recorded Heartland history, with 132 confirmed fatalities and reports of over 58 people missing. It was the first named storm, and first hurricane, of the 2145 Heartland cyclone season, forming 23 days ahead of the official start of the season.
