The National Anthem of the Serene Democratic People's Fiefdom, also known as The Hymn of the Fiefdom, was written in 1938 by Alfred Markland, with music by Isis Haversham. It was accepted as the official song of the Communist Party of Otiacicoh in 1944, replacing the Internationale which, thanks to the reforms instigated by the Isaac Watkinson Affair, were now deemed inappropriate. The Internationale, however, continued to be the song of the breakaway Marxist-Leninist Party. The eventual victory of the Communists in the Civil War resulted in the Hymn being accepted as the National Anthem, though it was amended in 1971 to include the Communist dictator Noel Hoogaboom, (referred to as the Great Comrade).

Official Lyrics

United forever in friendship and labour,
Our mighty ideals shall ever endure.
The great Serene Fiefdom will live through the ages.
The dream of the people their thoughts rest secure.
CHORUS:
Long live our Socialist Motherland, built by the people's mighty hand.
Long live our People, united and free.
Strong in our friendship tried by fire. Long may our pea-green flag inspire,
Shining in glory for all men to see.
Through days dark and stormy where the Great Comrade led us
Our eyes saw the bright sun of freedom above
the Party has led us with faith in the People,
Inspiring to build up the land that we love.
CHORUS:
Long live our Socialist Motherland, built by the people's mighty hand.
Long live our People, united and free.
Strong in our friendship tried by fire. Long may our pea-green flag inspire,
Shining in glory for all men to see.
We fought for our future, destroyed the usurpers,
and made for our homeland the Laurels of Fame.
Our glory will live in the memory of nations
and all generations will honour her name.
CHORUS:
Long live our Socialist Motherland, built by the people's mighty hand.
Long live our People, united and free.
Strong in our friendship tried by fire. Long may our pea-green flag inspire,
Shining in glory for all men to see.
