Biography
Iðari was born in his family's traditional residence in Onna to the aristocrat Nemuri Heŋitu Neurani and his wife (a commoner), Alinia Masatu Alifa.
His mother, a critically acclaimed author, taught him reading and writing at a very young age.
Already knowing the basics, he was known as a trouble maker in elementary school. It wasn't until he entered a private secondary school in Mányai that he became more interested in his education. From then on, he got a reputation as an avid learner.
In 1981, he started dating Lángir Amériei Sáheli, a class mate, and even got engaged to him in 1983. However, when Lángir went on to study in Miátory, they broke off their engagement.
He graduated in 1984 and went to the University of Ān-Baranxiž where he studied literature and journalism. Here, Iðari also met Ateni in 1987, a year before Ateni graduated. They soon started dating, and in 1989, Iðari moved into the Royal Palace.
After Iðari got his degrees in 1990, he went to the republic of Baranxtu to work as an intern at the Baranxtuan Weekly Review, the largest newspaper of the country.
Iðari got engaged to Ateni in 1991, and they married in 1992.
Five years later, the couple adopted the king's orphaned nephew, Asuani, and in 1999 they adopted Aŋra, the child of a cousin of Iðari.
In 2002, after a failed assassination attempt on Ateni, Iðari took over responsibilities as king regnant from February 20th until June 20th. It remains unclear whether or not he should be considered the 15th monarch of Baranxtu.
Iðari still writes his column, which is among the most popular political columns in Baranxtu. The Mireŋa is the third-best selling nespaper in all of Baranxtu.
He was made co-regent of Baranxtu, Otea and Cikoutimi in 2006, becoming the first spouse of a monarch to fulfill such a role.
The Royal Couple adopted a third child, Sauta Aenajatu, whose full title will be Crown Princess Sauta Aenajatu Atenitu-ā-Iðari-laā Ŋuri-Eilari.
Name
First Name
Iðari is an Old Baranxeï name, derived from 'iðea' ('ancestral', Mod.Bar. išā) and 'arru' ('love', Mod.Bar. 'arur') and can be translated as something akin to 'respect towards or ancestors' as well as 'loved/protected by the ancestors'. As Iðari was born in the week of the ištocun, the festival of the ancestors, he was given an appropriate name.
Surname
Iðari's last name is a little bit unusual for Baranxtuans, as it is a real hyphenated name, i.e., he received both the surname of his father as that of his mother.
This usually only happens when both parents belong to the aristocracy, but in other cases, the child receives the surname of the parent with the same gender (i.e., a daughter gets her mother's surname and a son his father's).
Traditionally, he should have been named Iðari Nemuritu Neurani, receiving his father's family name, but his parents decided otherwise, so he received his mother's surname, as well.
