To fulfill its mission of bringing humanitarian aid to people across known space, the International Aid Consortium commands a fleet of unarmed starships with which it can deliver help to those in need.

Starship classes

Behring

Built by the Arizona Nova, the Behring class carrier is deployed alone to provide relief in small- to medium-scale regional planetary disasters or along with other ships to assist in efforts on a larger scale. This type of ship has only enough facilities to serve its passengers and crew, and is not designed to take on refugees. Instead, the Behring carries large cargos of relief supplies and a small fleet of dropships by which they and field personnel can be delivered and deployed to assist victims.

It has shields to protect it when it must fly through combat zones, and can on- and offload personnel through its rear hatch only when it is not carrying a cargo container.
