=Military branches=: There are a number of Branches of ICCD's Security Forces: Provincial (Infantry and Mechanized), Imperial Gaurd (Imperial College Cadets and Imperial Gaurd), Special Security Forces (Lictors and Praetorian Guard), Imperial Command Staff (Airforce, Special Forces, Naval Commanders)

The Equipment is provided on an as needed basis, as outline by directives from above, generally the Senate, but may be direct from the Emperor, or a Ceasar and a few others in specific situations.

Provincial Forces

Infantry/Paramilitary/Mechanized. These are the bulk of the ICCD forces. They are used for contsruction and other 'secure' projects conducted by the state. They generally go through a training program which includes, labour, education, and combat exercises. The First 4 Years of Security Force Service is one form or another of this to prepare then as capable soilders, that are intelligent, able to take on civilian roles as required when there arn't civilians to do the tasks, plus defend sites or take on covert roles as labourers or disguise military operations as civilians business processes.

Imperial Gaurd

Mostly for State and Government Facilties plus local training officers. Imperial Gaurd Officers are the lowest rank assinged for teaching roles in the Cadet Corps. The Imperial Gaurd is generally regarded as 'the real' security forces. Generally no one messes with an Imperial Gaurd as they tend to be well built and NO BS, type people. They essentially devote themselves to the Empire and all are extremely loyal followers of the Imperium.

==Lictors== (Securiate and Secret Police, Special Forces) The most capable of the Imperial Gaurd who pass intelligence testing are recruited into the Special Security Forces. This in many ways is a type of political post, because the lictors tend to gaurd infleuntial individuals and places, and also act as the Command Staffs front line police force, with powers to act as investigators of any operations of the security forces (in general) sometimes they do this covertly, especially within the Imperial Gaurd. Appointments as a lictor are often done secretly and individuals are held back for covert operations. Others 'retire' from the forces, sometimes after faked injuries or feigned health conditions. Some get put on assignment never to be seen for years. When theya are asked where they were by freinds or family, they say they don't know etc... when they sometimes deal with high profile operations they can never publically talk about them for the rest of their lives.

Imperial Commandos

Air Force, Special Forces, Commanders of Facilities and Ships. Those Lictors who make it through the two years minimum of Lictor Service and decide not to retire from official military service or transfer into the 'intelligence' specific portion often find themselves in Command roles, either as pilots or naval force commanders often depending on their background and interest, and need of the operational directorate. They also find themselves in very skilled operations as SOF forces. The High Level Command tend to be liasons, logistics and strategic command, as well as Large formation managers.

Imperial Navy

composed of various grade officers. The Imperial Navy is highly praised for their dedication. The Imperial Navy is primarily used as a 'Security' and commerce capacitator. The Bulk of the forces are naval attack/defence stealth oriented, particularly antiship/antiair, but also has land engagement capacities, generally within 100KM of preshore waters..

Praetorian Gaurd

Ultra Special Forces Handpicked from the various branches mostly lictors and above, serve as political officers, and special functions These individuals are essentially the nucleus of power of the Empire, they are one person armies, judge jury and executioner, often refered to as the Praetorian Gaurd. They tend to act specicially on Senate orders, specifically Special Operations Praetors. They often act as honour gaurds, and many Praetorian guards have found themselves as Praetors in the future. They also provide expert information to Praetors when they are planning their strategies on current force capacities and first hand information of the skills of specific officers etc...
