Almost completely ignored at under-21 level, Illias Provatidis played in only three international tournaments for the Starblaydia national football team, yet he came away with two Winners' and one Runners-Up Medal from those: The 6th and 8th AOCAF tournaments, as well as the 2nd Liverpool England-hosted Four Nations Invitational.
Illias was partly-responsible for the emergence of Michalis Mitrofanis, his team-mate at both club and International level. Mitrofanis' big, bruising style was perfectly matched by the neat interplay of Provatidis as they scored seven goals between them in seven AOCAF8, lending Starblaydia a 100% record in that tournament as they took the title.
He was also crucial in getting Jakkinho seven goals in the FNI, bagging two of his own against Liverpool England and Lethislavania in that tournament.
