Imperial Questarian Navy

Background

The Imperial Questarian Navy is one of the biggest, and many say, the best naval force floating on the high seas of NationStates, and OOCly the "player behind" the nation is well respected in naval circles.

Organisation

The IQN is organised into various squadrons and divisions; cruisers and destroyers have their own independent divisions which may be attached to flexible battle groups. For example, the 42nd and 46th Destroyer Divisions may be attached to Force A which may consist of any number of capital ships - probably around 6-8 due to the size of the escort.

OOC Influences

There are many OOC influences that effect the IQN. Questers has the size and budget and experience to be the best navy on NationStates, but OOCly the player prefers to to use, in some cases, archaic technology and doctrine because it is an OOC interest of the player. For example, for a long period of time the IQN used Second World War level naval aircraft in its Fleet Air Arm because of the players admiration for Second World War era aircraft. The player is well known for his like of battleships which reflected, for a long time, the IQN's doctrine.
