Historical Overview

The Integrated Theater Defense Organization (IDTO) comprised the bulk of Santa Barbaran military forces during the administrations of Bob Pratt and his successor, Heinrid Abadas. This crucial time period saw the nation leap, boots-first, into the area of space technology, exploration and exploitation, and the first through fourth generations of Santa Barbaran spacecraft were largely built and operated by the ITDO.

Branches

There were initially seven branches, though an eighth (the IOTG) was slowly introduced during the last days of the CoFedCo.

GADTG -

The Ground Assault/Defense Theater Group traditionally received the bulk of manpower and the budget; the latter began to change with the development of Santa Barbaran space force.

AOTG -

The Air Operations Theater Group had only diminished in size, scope and importance by the time it was further reduced under SCC Cheng.

NOTG -

The Naval Operations Theater Group suffered massive cutbacks in funding and equipment during the mid to late Pratt Dynasty, and never fully recovered it's power and prestige.

SOTG -

The Special Operations Theater Group was a highly vaunted, elite branch that accepted few new recruits. It's performance and role has been surrounded by much mystery and rumor.

OOTG -

Most contemporary Santa Barbaran space forces belonged to the Orbital Operations Theater Group, though with the introduction of increasingly more mobile and far-ranging warships, the IOTG was expected to 'replace' the OOTG as soon as the older, more limited warships were phased out.

IOTG -

The Interplanetary Operations Theater Group consists of very few personnel, but is tightly integrated with the Combined Resources Corps and the Joint Interplanetary Legions of the Order of the Seraphim's CSF.

LTSTG -

Vitally important, the Logistics, Transport and Supply Theater Group received a large share of funding and material. The LTSTG was the primary maker and shaker of any ITDO war operations.

CCCTG -

Command, Control, Communications Theater Group was the administrative "brain" of the ITDO.

In addition, the Santa Barbaran Interplanetary Trade Guard (SBITG) fell under the overreaching command of the ITDO. However, as part of the CoFedCo judicial system, the chain of command is not always clear-cut with the SBITG; it also reported to the Registry of Shipping (RoS).
