Intelligence and Security Bureau JRV's primary Intelligence agency. The ISB's main headquarters are located at the National Centre of Intelligence and Secuity in Victoria City, with offices in every major town and city in JRV. Its main roles include gathering and analyzing intelligence, investigating groups or individuals who are believed to be a threat to the Republic and its citizens, and in some cases may work with JRVian Special Forces in the intervention of terrorist plots. Much about the ISB remains highly secret, and in recent years many have begun to cast suspicion over its workings. Allegations ranging from unlawful entry to torture have recently surfaced, and several sources within the ISB have aired their concern to higher government and the media.

So far these claims have largely been dismissed; in late 2004, however, ISB Director of nearly 10 years, Robert Donaldson tendered his resignation. No reason has been given for this so called self-dismissal, but many feel that the Federal Government was unhappy with the way the agency has operated under Donaldson and pressured him in to an early retirement.
