The thread was originally started by Kaze Progressa, who wanted to prevent the Champions League and World Cup threads from being spammed with these news. Today, the Champions League is effectively dead, but the thread lives on.
The international transfer window is open from end of the World Cup qualifiers to the beginning of the next World Cup.
