The Isselmere-Nielander Broadcasting Corporation (INBC), a Crown corporation of the United Kingdom of Isselmere-Nieland, is the largest radio and television conglomerate within the United Kingdom. The Corporation is also active in other media, notably publishing print and electronic media, as well as films.

Purpose

INBC was established in 1914 as an educational and news service that in time of war expanded into the realm of entertainment. INBC 1 began broadcasting on 23 March 1915. The first sports broadcast was of the Capital football derby between Citadel and The Burgh on 28 July 1915. The Burgh won 3-2 in a hard fought match that saw five yellow cards and two straight red cards.

Since those early days, INBC grew in size and signal strength, finally achieving a true international service, then known as the Foreign Service, over shortwave radio in March 1935. With the advent of satellite transmission, Isselmere-Nielanders and interested foreign listeners — and, for subscribers of INBC 5 International, viewers — can receive INBC broadcasts and podcasts throughout the world.
