History

Pre-colonization

The earliest dated records of Jamminberry; the diary of one Lieutenant L. Jackson(currently held in the Great Library of Hamtaro in Jammberrlin), indicate that there was no sign of human activity in the area before the settlers reached it. The aboriginals of , with whom the Jammin people have been in alliance with for over half a century, maintain that they never set foot in southern Jamminberry before the construction of Jammberrlin.

Geography

Jamminberry occupies the Western portion of . It shares land borders with to the East, and to the Northeast. Territorial waters are shared with to the south, and to the North.

Jamminberry boasts the second largest land mass in , with 8 million square kilometres. Much of the North is densely forested and sparsely populated, and the West coast is partially uninhabitable due to the harsh mountain conditions. It is bordered on three fronts with the Hamtaran ocean, and therefore sports the largest fishing territory in , as well as the largest waterfront.

The most densely populated area is what is known as the Southern Straight, stretching across the entire Southern coast of Jamminberry. This area is the only highly urbanized area in all of Jamminberry; to the North of this are the beautiful Jammin Grasslands, and even further North as well as to the East are located the lush tropical rainforests. The Grassland, protected from harsh Easterly winds by the Jammy Mountains, are home to the majestic Golden Hamster: Jamminberry's national animal, and the symbol imprinted upon the Jammin flag.

Jamminberry is divided into four territories: the Eastern, Central and Western Territories, as well as Dias Island, located off the West coast.

Bordered on the West by a large mountain range, and seperated from on the East by thick tropical jungle, it is an environmentally stunning nation.
