Design

The F-4 "Flamberge" was designed to replace the older CF-14 strike fighters in the Air force, and provide the navy with a viable strike plane to supplement the F/A-16. It was not made to replace the F/A-15, but to supplement it as a cheaper alternative.

Airframe

The F-4 is based on a larger version of the airframe of the F-2, to allow for a larger payload.

Powerplant

The F-4 uses the powerful Hyperion engines used in every JEC fighter to date.

Avionics

/*The F-3's avionics suite includes a powerful 360* search RADAR, with a range of nearly 500 km, a more powerful forward RADAR with a 10* cone to the fore and a range of over 700 km. Additionally, the F-3 has a Fly-by-wire system identical to that of the F-2, and a powerful jamming suite for both communications and RADAR. Finally, the F-3 includes a forward IR sensor for the AA-2 "Bolt" or AA-4 "Hydra" missiles.*/
