The High-tech Democratic Nation of Jeffgordonville is a huge, safe nation, renowned for its punitive income tax rates. Its hard-nosed population of 1 billion + are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.
It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Education, and the Environment. The average income tax rate is 82%, and even higher for the wealthy. A substantial private sector is dominated by the Beef-Based Agriculture industry.
The people are famous throughout the region for their bleached-white teeth, research into 'designer babies' is banned, naturists are jailed regularly for indecent exposure, and artists are pillars of society. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Jeffgordonville's national animal is the chimpanzee, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Gordon.

History
On May 25th, 1922, Mark Tondun, a citizen of the former Fender Benderia set up a goal. His goal?A nation with his ideas of what a nation should be.It was written down in a 240-page book called:What should a nation be.That book was a worldwide hit,but the Fender Benderian government disliked it,calling the book out for speaking against their governement.Tondun and over 125 of his followers were exiled to the border.Tondun then started a nation,based on his book.Origianally it was called Tondunland,but was later changed to Jeffgordonville.Why it was changed we`ll come back to later.
In 1929,Tondun declared Tondunland a free country.This was not recognized by Fender Benderia,and they declared war on Tondunland.This angered the people who had read and liked Tondun`s book,and they moved to Tondunland.By now,Tondunland had a population of 561,982 people,against Fender Benderia`s 1.3 million.Both countries fought a 18-year battle,to be ended when Tondun died,and left his peace-loving son,Jeffery Gordon Tondun in charge.J.G. Tondun quickly put a halt to the war,and sent apologies to Fender Benderia,and said he hoped to bring peace to the two countries.He succeeded,and the citizens showed thanks by voting to change the the name of the nation.
Throught the next decade,Jeffgordonville went through a prosperus stage,the main highlights being J.G. Tondun`s cousin,Joe Emberton finding gold in Mark Canyon,Fender Benderia granting land to Jeffgordonville and the establishement of Tondun Motors.Motor racing had always had a place in J.G.`s heart,and he built many racetracks and started the Jeffgordonville Stock Car Cup(JSCC).In 1957,however,tradegy stuck as J.G. Tondun was assssinated.He had married,but had no children,so his cousin Joe Emberton the Great took the reigns as leader.
The assasination is being put on Little Clydeians,as they saw Jeffgordonville a threat in many ways.That would prove to be a mistake,though,as Joe Emberton was far from stupid.He was a brilliant man,and that hurt Little Clyde.General Kasey Mayfield was appointed to teach Little Clyde a lesson.Little Clyde`s population was drastically reduced,and Little Clyde surrendered.Then,in 1961,the Fender Benderian government collapsed,and several nations had claims to the land.
Jeffgordonville took the land,and fought off armies from Team 78 racing,Kasey and Kurt,Rockergurl,EA sucks,and Sonic the Hedgehogs(Little Clyde was unable to conquer land because of the recent massacre).Kasey Mayfield also fought in this battle and helped Jeffgordonville to take the entire land occupied by Fender Benderia,before the government collapse.The war would last 14 years.During that time,Joe Emberton I died from natraul causes(1967),and his son Joe Emberton II took over.The young Emberton was in every bit just like his father,and it 1975,the treaty of Labonteville was signed.
In 1980,Kasey Mayfield retired,and was given a place on the Jeffgordonville wall of fame,along with Mark Tondun,and Joe Emberton I.Since then,Jeffgordonville has been very peaceful,and has concentrated on racing.In 1983,all forms of racing(Including wagon and sled racing)have been recognized as the national sport.The entire Emberton family has been passionate in racing,but only once have they won the TARSCAR championship.That was in 1999,with Calvin Emberton,who had 1 win,3 top 5`s but 29 top 10`s.His win came at the Jeffgordonville GP,then held at Pepsi superspeedway,a 4 mile oval where speeds of 250 mph were recorded before it was taken off the TARSCAR schedule in 2000.
Emberton trailed 184 points behind Jeff Gordon,Dale Jarrett and Tony Stewart heading into the finale in Rockergurl,but finished 2nd as both all his rivals wrecked early.The wreck started after Jarrett blew a RR tire and spun in front of Gordon,Stewart and Emberton.Gordon and Stewart went full throttle and got hit by Jarrett,while Emberton got tapped by Bobby Labonte and spun through the grass,narrowly missing Jarrett`s beat up car.If Emberton hit Jarrett`s car,that would`ve left Stewart as points champ,and Emberton 3rd.Recently,Jeffgordonville changed government from empire to democratic states,due to public opinion.
