Short Biography
Early Life
Timms came from a poor family and became a Trade Union offical after leaving school at 18. When 24 she started working for the Neudegg Treu und Wahr Social Democratic Party and rose to the top of it as Secretary General in 1945.
The Presidency
Timms was put forward to stand for the Presidency by the Prime Minister of the day who admired her achievements with the Neudegg Treu und Wahr Social Democratic Party.
The Result
She won the nomination and then the Presidency itself with 77.1% of the vote.
As President
Timms focus was largly on social welfare and the role of the private sector in the country.
Death
Timms tragically died of a heart attack in her private study in the Heim und Büro vom Präsidenten with no previous history of heart problems. The Republic of the People of Neudegg went into 2 weeks of mourning in 1972.
